Hacienda San Rafael

WE COMPLETED THE HACIENDA SAN RAFAEL PROJECT IN 2023, THIS REPRESENTED THE ESSENCE OF OUR PILLARS

The project involved designing the pool and social area of the house, as well asimporting unique materials from places such as Bali to complete the finishes of thehouse.‍“When we first started dreaming about our project, we knew that we needed thebest vendors to make our dream a reality. We found our inspiration on Pinterest, butwe knew that it would be difficult to find the same or similar products in CostaRica. Fortunately, I had been following Bio-Tile Group's Instagram page for a fewyears and had seen all the incredible projects they had completed, so I knew Iwanted to work with them. To my surprise, they offered a range of high-qualityforeign products that fit perfectly with my needs. They provided woods, limestones, marble, and even a custom-made bathtub that was shipped from Indonesia, whichhas become a stunning piece of art in our home.” – The Client‍‍

DESIGN‍

The project presented a significant challenge as the client requested a gym, BBQarea, jacuzzi, and fire pit that would be integrated with the pool but separate. Thevolumes of the house had to be synchronized with the property's topography, andthe aesthetic balance had to be in synergy with the environment's panoramic viewof the city. Our director took the lead of this challenging project, and our teamworked closely with lead architect Javier Vargas of the architecture firm ArquidezS. A. to create a clean, organic design that bridged the gap between theconceptual and the real. Materials such as Limestone, green quartzite, marble, andwood were used to connect the spaces and maintain a harmonious balance.

CONSTRUCTION AND MATERIALITY

Bio-Tile Group specializes in high-end projects and provided a comprehensive solution to the entire project. Our team was able to provide the best materials and finishes from remote areas worldwide, such as exotic marble and bathtubs, to meet the challenges presented by the Hacienda San Rafael project. The volumes of the house had to be synchronized with the property's topography, and materials such as Limestone, green quartzite, marble, and wood were used to connect the spaces and maintain a harmonious balance. The pool and social area were completed with an organic line connecting all the elements of water, fire, and landscaping with the house's general architecture.
